Kiel Ranch Historic Park is a 7-acre site located near the northeast corner of Commerce Drive and Carey Avenue, approximately 1 ½ miles west of downtown North Las Vegas. Kiel Ranch is a historical treasure of Nevada (listed on the National Register of Historic Places) as it is home to one of the State’s oldest adobe structures and an active artesian spring. Phase 3B primarily focuses on providing safe access to the spring habitat, a tranquil oasis. This phase is the link between the overlook and the historic area of the park. Lage Design will design the eastern portion of the boardwalk with overlook(s) that will protect the sensitive habitat surrounding the spring while providing a tranquil educational setting within the surrounding suburban neighborhood. The boardwalk and overlook(s) are intended as a viewing and educational area, with opportunities to see the small wetland and the supported wildlife.
