Garnet Interchange
Garnet Interchange
About This Project
This design-build project widened five-miles of US 93 and rebuilt the deteriorating bridge at the I-15 interchange. LAGE Design worked with the Department to adapt a conceptual design to the diverging diamond interchange configuration. Tall plinths with decorative bases anchor the four corners of the bridge. Abutment walls and bridge railings were enhanced with custom formliners and decorative metal appliqués that express the Old Spanish Trail theme. Extensive revegetation and transplanted flora were incorporated into the design, allowing the newly disturbed groundplane areas to flow seamlessly into the adjacent, undisturbed desert environment.
